Ares Costume Now On e-Bay! Friends and fans the world over have not forgotten Kev since his tragic death in 2002. Since his passing, money has been donated or raised over the years for the Kevin Smith Trust for his three sons. However, his wife Sue would like to mark his 45th birthday next year in a special way by erecting a wonderful memorial stone. To facilitate this, she is providing Kevin's spectacular leather Ares costume (see link), along with her signed letter of authenticity, to be auctioned on eBay at the end of January 2008 (check back for exact dates). This costume was worn by Kevin on many late episodes of Xena and Hercules. The auction will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire one of the finest Hercules/Xena series costumes, with the proceeds going to a special cause to further honour Kev's memory. Kevin Smith touched audiences with his witty performances on Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena: Warrior Princess, three Lawless telemovies, and many other productions in his native New Zealand. Well known for his comedic flair, he was also a regular participant in TheatreSports and other improv comedy venues. Kevin loved to perform...and, in short, everyone loved Kev. 
On February 16, 2002, after completing work on Warriors Of Virtue: Return To Tao in Beijing, China, Kevin passed away from complications arising from a serious fall.
It's hard to believe Kev's been gone for six years. At this time, we have decided to let the Trust website go as of the end of the Ares costume auction...to move forward as Kev would have wanted us to.
